Natural gas is a fossil fuel formed from plants and animals in the soil as a result of extreme exposure to temperature and pressure. Natural gas is used in everyday life for cooking, as a source of energy, in agriculture and industrial production. The price of natural gas mainly depends on the production conditions of gas extraction, current reserves, weather conditions, economic growth, oil prices, and, more recently, on coal prices. Natural gas is measured in MMBtu (one million British thermal units).
